Snapdragons are one of the classic annual flowers that every gardener should experiment with. These 3′ tall plants are a bright accent in the garden and also make excellent cut flowers. Flower color mostly ranges from dark-cherry red to peach-orange red, defiantly throwing out the occasional bright yellow plant. This mix will not settle for the authority of uniformity. Pole Snap Bean, Kew Blue (Organic)

Phaseolus vulgaris. Flat Purple Pods. 

Vibrant purple pods, stems, and leaves. Semi-flat beans with incredible raw taste. Flourishes in cool, damp conditions and sprouts easily in the chilly early spring soil. Early and consistent pod growth along the vines. Seeds dry quickly before the arrival of rain. As one of our top-producing pole beans, it was a staple for us as fresh market farmers. Originating from the Kew Royal Botanic Gardens, Adaptive Seeds acquired this variety in 2007 from the Heritage Seed Library in England. 

Pole Snap Bean, Early Riser (Organic)

Promoted as "Flat Green Pods", the Early Riser pole snap bean lives up to its name by quickly growing runners alongside its first true leaves. Make sure your trellis is prepared! We cannot contain our amazement at this variety's early and vigorous growth, providing stringless, 8-10" Romano-type snap beans weeks ahead of other pole beans. It continues to produce until the end of the season, needing a tall trellis as the plants will double back on a 6' structure. Cucurbita pepo.

After an exhaustive search for open-pollinated pie pumpkins across the internet and Seed Savers Exchange, Adaptive Seeds gathered 11 varieties, some heirlooms without descriptions. To explore their potential, they were grown together allowing them to cross, resulting in the Pumpkin Pie Party Mix! These fruits possess the classic color and shape of pie pumpkins, most weighing 2-7 lbs some as large as 10 lbs. Each variety was hand-picked for its taste. While there are some slight variations in flavor, flesh color, and texture, all of these pumpkins make for exceptional pies. Their parentage includes; Big Red California, Hondo Small Sugar Pumpkin, New England Sugar Pie, Paarman Sugar Pumpkin, Winter Luxury, Early Sweet Sugar Pie, and more, along with Cinnamon Girl PMR F1.

Hot Pepper - Adaptive Early Thai (Organic)

Capsicum annuum. Very Hot. 

Adaptive Seeds had their first experience on a farm in Willow Creek, California back in 2003. It was a year of many firsts - Andrew's first time saving seeds, including an heirloom tomato and a Thai pepper. From that moment on, the legacy of that saved seed has been thriving, leading to the creation of the Adaptive Early Thai pepper. For 17 years, Adaptive Seeds has cultivated and perfected this pepper, even cross-breeding it with new Thai varieties to create an early-maturing and versatile plant. While there may be slight variations in the peppers, the overall theme remains true to the classic Thai pepper flavor. Some plants grow tall and upwards, while others have hanging fruit - but all produce 2-3" long, slender and fiery hot peppers that are perfect for Nam Phrik, a staple condiment in Thai cuisine.
