The Maranta leuconeura ‘Kerchoviana’ – Prayer Plant is a beautiful and unique houseplant that is sure to add a touch of tropical flair to your home. It is native to the Brazilian tropical forests, it's called the Prayer Plant because at night its leaves fold up, as if in prayer.

The Maranta leuconeura ‘Kerchoviana’ Prayer Plant leaves are a stunning shade of green with a distinctive pattern of two rows of dark burgundy brownish patches on each side of the vein giving it the nickname "Rabbit Tracks" plant. A shrubby plant with a cascading habit it can grow to 18 inches. 

 

This Prayer Plant comes in a 6-inch nursery container with a moss pole, allowing the plant to grow upright and develop more leaves. You can attach the plant to the moss pole with twist ties or plant ties.

A relatively easy-to-care-for plant, but it does require some special attention. It appreciates high humidity, so you may want to mist the leaves regularly or place the plant on a pebble tray.
