The Davallia fejeensis, native to the tropical rainforests of Fiji, also known as the Rabbit’s Foot Fern, is a beautiful and unique plant that makes a great addition to any home. Named Rabbit’s Foot ferns for their delightful furry yellowish-brown rhizomes that creep over the top of the plant pot. The soft, lacy foliage of the main plant grows in a mounded habit, but it is likely to creep in any direction. The Davallia loves moderate to bright, indirect light and plenty of humidity.
Perfect for medium to bright, indirect light area
Keep the soil evenly moist from spring to fall; let the top 1 inch of soil dry between watering in winter
Mist the surface rhizomes daily to keep them from drying out
Feed with a diluted liquid fertilizer (half strength) every 2 to 3 weeks from spring till the end of fall, once a month during winter
Never bury the rhizomes under the soil, as this encourages rot
